The easiest way (if the vehicle is unmoddified) is to look at the wheels.

Also, base came with no roof rack, while it was part of touring package.
It may have been added later, however.
One more way is the radio. Touring has a Bose head. |

Touring models have the memory system for the drivers seat & outside mirrors - look at drivers inside upper door panel (near the door handle), you will see some buttons for the memory positions on touring models. Also, touring models have the in-dash 6 disc CD changer, while base models only have a single CD player . . .
FYI - regarding the exterior, I've seen several base models that have swapped to the touring rims and added a roof rack, so those are not always obvious exterior indications of a touring model . . . |
