| My 2002 had struts replaced @ 40000 km. and now again @ 66000km, along with stab. bar bushings and tie rod ends. I reported this once before. The 2004-05 have a heavier spring and strut but the factory rep won't allow the changeup. I have complained to ACURA CANADA and they will cover me to 100 t km for the struts which is great but after that ???. The tech showed me the new springs are much beefier allowing less front end wear. They changed it for a reason obviously. |

I couldn't for the life of me figure out why, when I test drove an '05 MDX a couple days back, it rode soooooo smooooothly!!.....absorbed sharp bumps and potholes like gello!!! .....I could've SWORN they changed the suspension, but there is no public acknowledgement of this. When I had my '03, I recall that it rode pretty harshly. Sharp impacts were accompanied by a "tinny" or "clunky" noise and not the "rubbery" smoothness that should be there. So I thought I was hallucinating when I felt the '05 ride so smooothly over potholes!!! :eek: :eek: ......like you said, must be the revised shocks/spring setup. Thanks for validating my observations!! ;) |

| Well here it is again ; stab . bushings worn out again for the 3rd time at 95000km.Warrantee til 100000km. The rep is to advise. The 2002 an d prevoius have wek front ends. Anyone else heard of a changeup offred to a 2003 or newer spring ; etc. |
