I was wondering if anyone knew of any shipping method for the MDX besides the BNSF railroad for tracing purposes. My MDX was built 6/15 and when I enter the last 8 places of my VIN number under the BNSF search it says it cannot be found. My dealer is in Northern Virginia and I thought perhaps Acura might use another method for shipment down here. Any information you could supply would be greatly appreciated. And yes, I did a search and couldn't find any information for tracing other than the BSNF site.
Thanks for your help.

I don't know if there is any other shipping methods or not. However, I did notice when I found my MDX on BNSF, I could not trace the vehicle until it was loaded on the train. Also, the tracing info disappeared two days after my MDX arrived at the destination. So, it might be possible that yours isn't on the train yet, or as you say, possibly a different carrier.
Just and FYI. I noticed that mine was shipped by train to Portland, OR. It was then shipped by truck. So if your's is off the train it still may have a ways to go.
I have ordered my MDX in PIT and understand it comes here by truck. I also believe a lot of areas in VA and surrounding get delivery by truck.
My build date is 6/19-6/23. My dealer called yesterday to say that I should expect mine anytime now. Acura ships vehicles as soon as they build it and PIT is just an overnight journey. There are many times that they get the VIN nos and the vehicles the same date. Expect yours anytime now.
