| I would wait for the new systems to come out since they will likely both be HD. |

tzeus,
The point being is that it has been discussed before. I thought it would be helpful if I told this person about the thread. Perhaps he would find useful information there. Personally, I think duplicate information isn't that useful- But I guess you have to be told twice about everything! |

What he said, thus my original reason for asking for any new info instead of starting a new thread earlier today. |

Nevertheless, I still can not decide.
The problem is that the GAMECUBE is not available everywhere. I can get XBOX and PS/2 at COSTCO and return it at any time. GAME CUBE IS not available there. GAMECUBE is available at FUTURE SHOP which has a 30 day return policy.

I have XBOX and PS2.
XBOX has HD if the game supports it. I have Amped 2 and that runs at 720p and looks amazing.
PS2 doesn't support HD. Some games support prog scan at 480p.
Not sure about Gamecube.
Since the system is for your daughters, I doubt they really care about HD (remember you'll have to buy extra cables if you want to run the higher video options). Gamecube and PS2 have the most kid friendly games. XBOX is geared towards adults. |

If you HAVE TO buy it at Costco, get the PS2. |

| For kids that young the choice is easy, PS2. My nephews and nieces (10 and below) have XBOX, PS2 and Gamecube. Heck they even have Nintendo DS and Gameboy, all in one house. I notice they usually play with their PS2. |

Really, you ask 10 guys, you'll get 10 viewpoints.
I'll wait. My girls are not into video games. The younger one likes Barbie, the older one discovered she like to play piano.
Thanks anyway fellas
