My center console died a few days ago. This happened after I tried plugging something into the cig lighter adapter. All I get now is a beeping Theft Alert light. Looks like a fuse was blown? Any ideas?

Check your owners manual to see which fuse it might be, they are listed towards the end of the manual. |

a buddy of mine dropped a chewing gum wrapper (foil kind) into his lighter/power receptacle by accident one time.
he went to plug in a cell phone charger, and BAMMM shorted out everything and lost his console power/lights kinda like ur describing

Exactly the same thing happened to me. I plugged something into the power outlet and and everything died on me. No radio, navigation, cd etc.
Did you find out how to fix it? |
