Hi, first time poster!! :)
No matter what I do, my tailgate won't lock. I use the internal manual locks - NOTHING. I use my remote keyless entry transmitter - NOTHING. All the other doors lock perfectly. ARGH.
Anyone else? Am I lame? I have only had my MDX for 2 weeks so this is all new to me. ;)

Try hitting the unlock button at least two times with the lid open then close it and see if it will lock. Worked for me when I was having the same problem a year ago. Evidently someone hit the lock button with the tailgate open. Then when shut it would of course not lock but the mechanism also would remain in the lock position when unlock was hit. |

Well, I took it to the dealership today and the technichians looked at it and it was their opinion that the locking mechanism in the tailgate is completely non-responsive. I made an appointment for Monday to have it replaced. They were all completely puzzled - a first for them in an '05.
