Hi,
My X is coming up to 30,000 miles. If you're in the SF Bay Area and have done a 30 K service at either the Acura or Honda dealer, could you please let me know how much it ends up costing, and where you had it done? Really appreciate the help, as money is tight right now...,:mad: |

NUMBER ONE!! Do ONLY the service called out in your owner's manual.
Do not fall for SPECIALS that line the dealership's pockets.
Honda dealers typically are cheaper than Acura dealers. And the Honda Pilot has basically the same services as the MDX.
If you can do any of the service required by the owner's manual yourself, do it. It will save you even more money.
Did I mention, Do ONLY the service called out in your owner's manual? |

| I don't know how much they charge for 30K service (my X has 100K+), nor where you are in the Bay, but I've been pretty happy with the service I've gotten lately at the Honda Hospital in San Mateo. Plus the owners have an MDX. If you are on the Peninsula, I'd give them a call. |

Like what DaleB said. What your owner's manual says. And if you can diy the better will save you $$$.
Or if you're not mechanically inclined then give Honda Hospital a call. Then local Honda , then local Acura.
I can tell you it cost me $400 to do wife's TL at local Acura for 30K. Yeah I know total ripoff but she insisted. I did change the cabin filter and saved $100. Your MDX will probably need the VTM4 change which will add about $70 more to the dealer recommended service at 30K and cabin filter at $120. You get the gist of where the dealer service is going...
Do a search here for 15K and 30K and you can basically find out what DaleB said do what the owner's manual recommends not the dealer service. Good luck.:4: |
