Yup, You read it right :)
When I turn a corner you can hear a knock under my seat and I can feel a slight move of the seat. Its extremely annoying.
Since I don't have a repair manual, can anyone tell me where the bolts are located under the seat and how many of them (and where) pertain to bolting the seat so it doesn't move :)
Thanks

Sounds like something broke rather than being loose. Really small chance of a seat coming loose.
Maybe the metal gave way??

It's probably not the bolts. There is a TSB for side-to-side play in the front seats and it calls for the installation of SHIMS.
It might be posted somewhere around here. Search for "seat* and shim*" without the quotes. |

| I had this problem and they replaced the seat rails and the bolts under warranty. |

| I have had a similar problem for some time now. Mine is fore and aft, though, not side-to-side. If you figure it out, post up and let us know. Its mildly annoying, but I never think about it when I bring the car in so its never been fixed. |

| I brought my X in 5 times (at two dealerships) for that problem and it's still not fixed!! |

My 2001 MDX has had a loose drivers seat now for over 2 years, and at least 8 times into the dealer. Most times dealer claims "no fault found".
Had rails replaced twice, but was only temporary fix, i.e. 1 or 2 weeks. Really makes driving uncomfortable when each turn has your whole body shifting, even though only a fraction of an inch, still very unnerving. It's not like I'm 500 pounds.
This should not be happening, and I would expect much more from Acura. Had this been a Toyota, they would have nailed down the caused within one or two visits max, and I would have nothing to complain about.
Anyone have any other fix, other than the rails. I am getting nowhere with this one. Will have to try another dealer. |
