I was impressed to say the least. It was at least as quiet as my MDX and rode just about as good.

The entry height is about an inch higher than my MDX... I had expected a much greater distance.

The bad things? Five that I noticed.

#1 No automatic headlights. Even cheap vehilces have automatic headlights now days. Not the Ridgeline. Dumb move Honda.

#2 No automatic windshield wipers. Could do without them, but it was misting/raining and was not used to doing it manually.

#3 This is a big one for me. I REQUIRE a good navigation system. The Ridgeline navigation system has no trip computer. No avg MPG, distance to empty, current MPG... none of that. It would have cost them NOTHING to include a trip computer, but they left it out. A really stupid error Honda.

#4 No backup camera on the navigation system. It's an add on via the accessories book, but not standard.

#5 No day/night rearview mirror. Again can be added via the accessories book, but not standard.

Other than that it was a nice vehicle. Very nice. I'd never consider actually buying it due to the above. Other than that it's at least as nice or nicer than the MDX.

That's my two cents.

Guess they're not really looking for high end buyers. They're probably planning all those extras for the Ridgeacura.

I don't go for all that automatic cr@p -- just more things to break; diff'rent strokes, I guess. Sounds like a nice truck.

More than a 50/50% chance I would either trade in my '05 MDX for a RIDGELINE (or, more-likely pass the MDX along to my wife and dump the Yukon XL) *IF* the Ridgeline had bluetooth.

That's it - simple request. Omitted in the ridgeline.

I am very surprised Honday "ain't got it" that bluetooth is as much the wave of the future for cell phones as side impact airbags were for safety. They 'caught" the side airbag wave...but apparently haven't figured out this sub-$150 add-on, Bluetooth (my guess) is a true deal-maker or deal-killer for some.

I'm guessing that your comments are about the "RTL with Moonroof and Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™" but maybe Honda just needs to tweak what constitutes the "top-of-line" .

Maybe a Ridgeline PINNACLE Edition and EVEREST Edition or something like that - Ford has done that with XLT getting a "Lariat", and then a "King Ranch" t-o-l...

Ridgeline is interesting but a couple of things I don't like.

1. Seats aren't as comfortable
2. Flat dash reminds me of being in an old Jeep Cherokee
3. Gawdy interior trim
4. Weird A-pillar setup makes it hard to get a clear view of the surroundings

I testdrove the ridgeline about 2 weeks before I bought my X and I really liked the ride. The turning radius to me was impressive for a truck. I don't find it to be as comfy as my X though.
