Has any body bought from Electronic Express? If so, what was your experience with them?

Their reviews on Amazon seem somewhat so-so (82% good, 12% bad). Their epinions reveiw is worse but appears out of date.

It seems one in every 5 or 6 people seem to have a less than desireable experience, I would be a little leary of this kind of customer service. What item are you looking for?
Emerald01
I was looking at a home theater speaker package (Polk Audio RM6900). The price is 150 less than any other place plus a free receiver that I would likely sell for maybe $100 to $200. No tax is also a big plus. Shipping is reasonable.

Maybe someone from Tennessee could also reply. They have a number of actual stores.

Have you checked with www.onecall.com for similar items? One of the few internet dealers I have a lot of trust in based on past experience. Plus, they are only 3 days away for deliveries, and no tax.

They are $999.99 on Polk's website: http://www.polkaudio.com/home/produ...=28&speaker=397

Isn't that Electronic Express' price? http://www.electronicexpress.com/product?prod_id=7199

Of course you don't get the free receiver; but I'd think you could trust Polk's website.

Onecall does not carry Polk, sorry about that.

Have you auditioned the system? If you have, I am interested in what you think about it. If not, I would encourage you to do so. If you are going to audition them, make sure to bring along some of your own material. Most store demo material is selected to accentuate the strong points and mask the deficiencies of the speakers. Many satellite speakers with drivers this small can't play down very low, and this causes the sub to act as a woofer and midwoofer as well.
That being said, Crutchfield has the system, minus the receiver listed at $999, but on the page next to a tag that says "save", the price is $899. I hate to recommend someone buying HT products off the net, as home AV sales is how I make my living, but Crutchfield is at least a reliable retailer. Here is a link to the page:

You have to add it to your cart, then the price drops to $849.

I am in Nashville and have bought things locally from EE for many years. Never had any trouble.

Prices are great. I had a summer job almost 20 years ago for a custom A/V installer and it was cheaper to buy from EE than wholesale direct from manufacturer.

I have but it's been a while. I'll probably do it again and bring in some of my own material. I've also looked/heard the Klipsch Reference Cinema 8 that I like (somewhat bright) but at the high end of my budget and Energy Encore which got mixed review and only sounded good when wired in an irregular fashion. Otherwise has a big hole in the frequency spectrum typical of other satelites. I want a satelite system, that sounds good (of course), has a bit of style, and under 1k. BTW -my receiver is an Onkyo TX-SR702S that I just picked up. My room is relatively small (guessing about 12' x 15' -I live in the SF bay area and I'm not a CEO or president of some company just one of many engineers).

Thanks Xtatic for expressing your experience with them. Here are more reviews on them.

Another speaker system I might consider is the Paradigm Cinema 110 CT

But I need to find a place to audition them. There's one place in San Jose.
