Help,
The other day I started my 2002 touring/navigation MDX and my nav screen looked 'funny.' I went into the diagnostic screen and discovered I had no blue. Now I'm blue because I don't know how to fix this problem. I tried hitting the default to no avail. I tried increasing the blue and decreasing the green and red... no change still no Blue!

probbaly a loose cable have you done any work under the dash?

There has been no work/playing under the dash. In addition, I have a DVD that will play through the front navigation screen. When I played the DVD it had the color blue:confused: I repeat when I checked the diagnostic screen, it only showed the green and red circles...no blue.

So, you have some type of RGB converter if you can output DVDs to the NAV screen. Therefore, that means there has been SOME work done somewhere to interrupt the signal from the NAV, whether it be behind the screen or near the NAV unit itself. I'm not an expert but it looks like one of the wires has been disconnected or is not functioning.

I don't know of any NAV-DVD conversion that does not require an RGB splice. My guess is that the cable from the nav DVD player to the NAV screen has a damaaged component which is probably the blue signal (the B in RGB - also red and green for those taking notes). This would also explain why the DVD hooked to the screen shows blue fine - it runs through the 3rd-party converter and that blue signal wire is fine.

Example.

I'm having a similar problem with Sam's unit. The images from my backup camera, T.V., and DVD show too much purple. I've checked the connections I can reach easily and they seem okay. A couple of weeks ago it started to work perfectly again, only to revert back to purple a few days later. Have not checked the diag screen on the NAV yet but will now.

It's back. This weekend I moved the drivers seat and passenger seats back and forth and as if by magic BLUE is back!
