I recently purchased a 2002 MDX and hate the stock 6 CD changer. I hate CD's to begin with...I am an MP3 bigot. Love having 10-12 albums on 1 disc, love being able to see the name of the song/artist currently being played and yes...an IPOD owner. I have a spare 2003 Alpine head unit and also have the IPOD interface ($100 bucks) that allows me to plug my IPOD directly into the Alpine.
IPOD Interface
I currently have this Alpine/IPOD setup in my Isuzu Trooper and want to put this in the MDX. A couple of questions:
1). Anybody know web sites to buy the install kits? Circuit City says they can buy one for $24.95 but wouldnt tell me where I could buy it at.
2). I feel like I am pretty good with car electronics but cant tell how to get the stock CD changer out. Any tips to get the old unit out?
3). This seems like it should be pretty simple. Anybody disagree? I have this fear that some of the steering wheel controls (like skip to the next track and volume control) may not work with the Alpine MP3 Player. Anything I am overlooking?
