| I turned off the engine after the radiator fan comes on and checked the trasmission oil capacity per manual's instruction and everytime I check it, it's terrible getting the measurement, it's hard to see how much I have left there since the oil is allover the dipstick. |

The next time pull out the dipstick, wipe it, put it back in and then take out for reading.

Try this
1. Wait a minute or two before checking the fluid level, so that the oil around the dip stick opening deep within the trans has a chance to return to the pan.
2. Use a cotton shop towel to throughly wipe the dipstick. It will do a better job of removing all traces of residual oil than a paper towel.
3. After you pull it out again, if you still have problems seeing the level, flip the drip stick over and see if you can read the fluid on the backside of the stick. That side of the stick sometimes may be better protected as you pull the drip stick out. It's amazing how many drip sticks are easier to read on the backside! |
