We just bought our '05 MDX Touring w/nav. I enjoyed the discussion at this forum, and now I should do my part to contribute. We paid $37,900 (destination included) before tax and license etc. We added running board, cargo tray, cargo cover and cargo net for an extra $800. We probably don't need some of the accessories.
The inventory for MDX increased quite a bit at all dealers recently. With patience and good timing, you might be able to do better. The experience for us was relatively painless. Now, we are looking forward to enjoying this car. |

| Both Pleasanton Acura and Los Gatos Acura offers similar deals. Acura of Pleasanton didn't try as hard to squeeze the last couple of hundred dollars, so they won my business. I did my test drive there, so they sort of deserved it with other things being equal. |

The salesman whom we did test drive with was no longer with the dealership when they finally have the color combination my wife favors in stock. So, we dealt mostly with a junior salesperson and she was pretty much relaying messages between us and her manager. I didn't get the name of her manager. But whoever he/she is, they are pretty willing to deal.
Haven't dealt much with their service yet. Will follow your suggestion when the time comes. My wife mentioned some faint metal scraping noise at low speed occassionally. Not sure if it's just small gravel on tire or something wrong. Maybe we'll pay a visit if it persists. |
