I moved to Irvine, CA and want to sell my Acura MDX.
I've put almost 24,000 miles on it. Half of it was on a road trip I did from Texas to CA.
The MDx is a 2004 Touring w/Nav model with the following features/accessories:
Black exterior/black interior
Cargo cover
Cargo liner
Moonroof visor (not attached..never got around to putting it on)
Rear tailgate deflector
Sunshade (not pictured)
Towing hitch with transmission and power steering fluid coolers
Cargo net (not pictured)
The condition is excellent. I've taken really good care of it and it looks brand new. There are 3 small dings from doors but not too noticeable. Other than regular service, there has been no problems at all with the car.
My question is how much can I sell this car for? Do y'all think $38,000 is too much to ask?

$38K is probably too much for an 04 with that much mileage. Also consider the fact that and 05 is going for about invoice these days.
I honestly don't think you will get more than $35K. |

You're always free to ask any kind of price for something you're selling but the real world may not necesarily agree with you :D
Seriously, I agree that you may not get more than 34-35K for your X, with the 05 dropping to invoice like vlam mentioned, and the 06 X coming out. KBB shows 34,330 in excellent condition. Unfortunately, the accesories don't add much to the total value. Even on ebay, the recently completed listings don't go over 33K
Why not trade it in for the 05? You'd still get about 28-30K. |
