| Just wondering if this price sound too good to be true. I test drove the car and it has the navigation system but for some reason the used car dealer did not have the 5 digit pin code but said he could get it. It only has a one disk cd player and no bose and didnt think u can get the navigation system without that upgrade. He also said he would take it to the dealer before i bought it and have the transmission recall fixed. After alot of looking the price seems to good to be true. The car is in beyond perfect condition inside and out. I live in new york and just was wondering what could be wrong |

Tough to tell. If I were in your place, I would get the CarFax report (Tim of hondacuraworld has offered this service to us), run the VIN number through Acura and learn as much about the vehicle through the dealer, i.e. service records, etc.
I thought the NAV was not available without Touring too, but apparently, it was offered, according to some other posts. The absence of the radio code/NAV code is not going to be an issue. The tranny might be a little touchy, but if your salesman is going to get it replaced, then you've got a good deal. |

| glad u said that. the dealer actually emailed me the car fax report on the car, so maybe I am getting a good deal. I called acura and it still has 17 months of warranty left which makes me feel better. So anyone interested in buying a 2002 mdx with nav with 27k miles for 29k just kidding |

I would think that it is a good deal, but not a "too good to be true" deal.

| Purchase the car with an extended warranty to have some piece of mind. I bought my 2001 MDX Touring with 79K miles for $17,000 in very good condition. I also purchased an aftermarket extended warrantee for an extra $400. It calmed my nerves after finding this website and hearing so much about the notorious transmission. |

Nice looking pre-owned MDX. For a moment there, those wheels threw me off. I thought I was looking at a newer model MDX. Those 2004-2005 touring wheels are a great way to freshen up the look of a 2001 model.:4: |

| Unlike the current model year (at least 04 ~ 05), you could get Navi on the Premium (Base) MDX. :) |
