I discovered last weekend one cool screen that I did not see documented in Navi manual for 2005 MDX.

I pressed the right knob to get to speaker controls, then when I increased the volume I saw a different screen flicker for a second. After pushing various combinations, I finally got to it.

If you press the right know and hold for 2-3 seconds, you will get a nice display for AUDIO controls, which as one of my friends told me is very similar to what Honda Odyssey has as standard (I assume on a Navi model)

I now begin to wonder, what other 'undocumented' features are out there? I do not know the number of my Navi DVD update, but since I just recently got the truck, I'd think it is the latest build.

It is a nice feature and is listed in the owners manual. However, it is difficult to find.

I use that feature all the time. If the XM radio is on, it displays the name of the song and the artist. (I don't understand why it can't do the same for the regular FM stations, as it does in my Lexus) Also if you get an incoming call on your Bluetooth phone, it switches to display the on/off controls that are on the steering wheel.

Now if there is just a way to have this screen as a default, so you don't have to keep turning it on everytime your turn on the car or switch to another set of controls....

I agree that the radio control screen would be nice to have as the NAVI default, instead of having to hold the right button for 5 seconds everytime you turn on the car.

is this just for 2005?

As far as I can tell, this only works on the 2005 system which has the new navi version w/bluetooth phone option.
