I think so. I traded my 02 for my 05 and glad I did. Noticed lots of differences. Previous posts have different opinions but I have not regretted my decision. With the rising gas prices, '05's are available for some good prices and even low interest rates. Just the new safety features, VSA (vehicle stability assist), Side curtain air bags, side airbags, two stage air bags, handfree bluetooth phone link, better ride, more horsepower, etc, are worth it.

I traded up last October from my '01. Big difference in ride and noise levels! The XM radio & Bluetooth phone are really nice - navigation is better. I haven't needed the On-Star, but nice to know it's there... I also like the new dash and cabin lighting. I had 85K on my '01 with no problems and was ready for a new one anyway...
No Regrets, I love my Steel Blue 2005! :2:

I have an 02 and will not upgrade (at least to another MDX) until the styling changes somewhat. The looks of the 01 and 05 is almost identical to the untrained eye.

For me I'll only buy another MDX that does not look the same as the one I'm getting rid of.

We traded our 2001 MDX for a 2004 MDX..there are so many upgrades. Nicer seats, quieter on the highway, smoother ride, upgraded dashboard, more power, better headlights, tranny doesn't shift constantly in D5, DVD for the kids, side curtain airbags, felt on ther pillars so the seat belts don't nick them everytime they retract and the recalibrated VTM is much better in deep sand. On the down side the gas mileage is a little worse and they moved the roof rails just enough that I had to drill new holes in my Thule box. Of course for 2005 you also get XM radio & bluetooth that I really enjoy in my TL. Go for it!
