Ignition sensor problem - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi there, I'm the proud owner of a 2005 Slate Grey X (without navi) however I've recently encountered a problem. When I take the key out of the ignition quickly and put the vehicle in park, I've encountered on 3 seperate occasions, that the X still thinks that the key is in the ignition and will not let me arm the vehicle (the green key indicator lights up on dash). It is not until I insert the key again that the problem disappears. Has anybody else experienced this before or should I be concerned?

Thanks in advance!

Take it back to the dealer and have them look at it.

Totally agree with Echo. With new vehicle always take it back to where you bought it for problems.

Maybe I am not following you too carefully, but shouldn't you be putting the vehicle in park first, then removing the key?

Hey thanks for the replies guys, I'll take it to the dealership and see what they have to say. Supo, I am putting the vehicle in park before I remove the key out.
