| We picked up a new '05 Odyssey Touring Nav/RES last Thursday. Although we loved our ES300, it was just impractical considering all the stuff we have to move around. So far, the Odyssey is everything we'd hoped for. Hopefully, the Q/C issues we had with our X will not re-appear. I'll post some more after we have had it for a little longer. |

Consider installing a guard over the lower grille below the bumper. The AC condenser can easily get hit by rocks and leak.

Good luck.
Thanks. We've already ordered our Mr. Grille. It should be arriving in a couple of days. |

.....far better and a far more sensible choice than the Pilot or MDX. Unless you actually NEED some of the off-road ability / severe winter traction abilities, of the aforementioned SUVs, the Odyssey is a far more practical vehicle. With VCM you're looking at 28mpg on the highway, which is amazing for a 4600lb+ vehicle  Besides the top-of-the-line Odyssey has virtually all of the "goodies" available in the others and some ADDITIONAL things like "Active Noise Cancellation" thrown in for good measure!!! .....and don't even get me started on the styling. It's simply georgeous.....Honda really hit the nail on the head on this one!!! |

Well, we've had the Ody almost a month now, and I can say that we are extremely pleased. It drives very well, like a much smaller vehicle, and is doing pretty well with gas. Almost all of our miles have been city, and we're getting about 17 mpg. It should improve as the engine breaks-in. We're going for a long weekend up to Helen, GA this coming weekend, so that will let us put a couple of highway hours on it.
As far as Q/C issues, so far the only thing we've noticed is one of the plastic covers on the passenger seat rail is easy to knock off. It always snaps right back on, however.
Mrs. Catz is hooked on the XM radio. We love the integration of the Nav and voice controls with the audio and climate controls. It works really well.
I hope everyone here on the boards is doing well, and we wish you a safe and happy 4th of July. |
