| I've been told that MDXs have ATF filters. How do you replace them, or are they even replaceable? I do my own ATF changes, and need to do one soon. I have a 01 model with the ATF jet installed. Is it easy to remove the jet to get to the filler hole? Thanks, |

Most funnel new fluid through the filler tube.
As far as a filter, there is a screw-on inline filter that comes with 'replacement' transmissions, probably to catch any debris that may still be in the lines from removal of the defective transmission.
It is not specified in the factory manual to replace this filter on a periodic basis.
Original transmissions have no serviceable filter installed. |

| Thanks, by "filler tube", do you mean where the dipstick goes? I filled through the filler hole, where the jet pack is now. Guess I need to fabricate a small funnel for the dipstick tube, if that's what you mean. |

| thanks, seems easy enough. it'll take some time to fill 3x through that narrow tube, but oh well. better than paying the dealer to do it. |
