Hello all, I just got me a MDX and its only 240 miles. I started the car and the engne fired up, but there I had 3 indicators lit on. wtm-4 , vsa and the engine indicator on. I was able to reverse the car. But when I put it in drive, it doesn't respond to the push on the accelarator. But it would move steadly at 6-7 miles an hour. yes, very slow.
Have any of you come accross this ?

I took this to the dealer and he said 1 out of 1000 cars has this problem and it is due to fuel throttle malfuntioning. This needs to be replaced.

Sorry to hear about your incident abel123. Sounds like you had a throttle actuator control module failure located on the throttle body.

Has anyone else had problems with the Electronic Throttle Control System on their 03-05 X's?

I've replaced a few throttle bodies on the 01-02 for sticking or problems with the IAC, but so far I haven't had to replace any of the drive by wire throttles. This is wierd for sure.

I have the exact same problem, when you changed your throttle body did this fix your problem?
