Get a factory-renewed with full warantee 40 hour FREE direct from TiVo when you pay for the required subscription.
Just as the summer heats up, here's an unbelievable, limited-time offer to put some sizzle in your living room! Get a FREE factory-renewed 40-hour TIVo Series2™ box with the purchase of a 12 month or product lifetime TiVo service gift-subscription. Buy today and we'll pay for shipping, too—that's an additional $17 savings!
Hurry, offer ends 7/27/05.
Also TiVo has a great referral program to get even more TiVo related stuff free. Just put in the email address of the person that helped you out when you activate service.
I am currently saving up for the Nikon Coolpix 5200 but they also have a Color screen Ipod. I think you can get either after 7 referrals.
I currently own 5 TiVo systems including Series 2, DVD recorder, and DTV models.
I will be happy to help answer any and all your TiVo questions, just PM me.
And check out the winners of their SDK development contest. Lots of neat stuff you can do with your TiVo!
Unlike the last FREE TiVo deal where I had to buy the TiVo for you and I was limited to getting 5 free, this deal is open to anyone!
Here is a link to all their current web specials, including the deal listed above.

If any of you guys are considering this deal - I took advantage of the last TIVO deal XStatic told us about and it was great working with him. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND what most folks would do to help me out. Make sure you work through him as a reference. Unlike some folks on this board who sell items only if they can act as the business contact for group buys, asian bulbs, etc. - Xstatic is upfront with the deal link and only asks that you consider him as the reference in order to earn TIVO bonus points.
I love my TIVO and find my self waiting until after the TIVO records a show rather than sitting through commercials. |

Thanks for the kind words. Have you tried any of the networking features?
Last time I had to pay for the TiVo gift subscription to get the free 140 hour TiVo and was limited to purchasing 5. This time anybody can pay for it directly to TiVo without my involvement, there is no limit other than the date the deal expires, but the unit is only 40 hour.
Still a great deal though. In the past you could get these for $99 after a $100 rebate.
Now BestBuy has them for $99 no rebate:

This deal is free and no rebates!
And if 40 hour isn't enough, I will be happy to point you in the right direction and help you as best as I can upgrading the drive. (Basically works out to 1 hour per Gig)
If you are considering some other model, here is an interesting way to purchase it...

| No, I haven't used the networking feature. I'll be building an HTPC for the basement theater this fall and will probably tinker with it then. |

After a couple days of not being available, this offer has been extended to the 27th!
If you don't have a USB wireless adapter and plan on hooking up the TiVo with 802.11 you might want to wait before you purchase a high priced adapter. (If you find one on sale then go for it)
A little birdy told me that TiVo has a wireless G USB adapter specially made for them coming out soon.
I have no idea how much it will be or when but I get the feeling it will greatly improve performance by doing the encryption and taking the load off the processor. I also expect it will not be exactly competitively priced though...
Also found some more cool software that works with TiVo to copy programs between TiVo and PC without any digital rights management;
