At least twice a week (or the times I drive my wifes X), after starting the car and driving away I notice I'll be a 1/4 mile or so away driving through the woods/houses/lakes etc on the Navi. It takes ~5 minutes to snap back to the correct location.
How often does this happen to you?
My understanding is that when you start the car, the Navi acquires satellite before letting you proceed into it. How can it be so off unless it hasn't acquired? |

| My 2002 MDX never does that. I back out the driveway and head up the street and it is right on my location. |

Does it leave little white "breadcrumbs" all through your neighbors' back yards? There's a new stretch of highway that I travel in Tahoe that looks like a breadcrumb thruway on my screen. I've always had that "track off road position" feature enabled despite the fact that I'm so rarely off the road.
To answer your question though, no, mine finds itself pretty quickly. Perhaps there are lots of thick, tall trees near your house? |
