Guys, I am really hurt today. I bought this 2005 ACURA MDX 3/4 months back and today rear ended to a Mazda 626 old car. The front portion of my car is looking very bad.

Radiator is gone I guess as te green fluid is dropping. May I know if the damage is too bad based on understanding the raditor is leaking now?

Do you guys think I should sell the car?

What a bad day.... I always liked my car the most..so to say very very obessessive.

Now I am shattered, kind of can not sleep until I receive the car in a good condition. DOes anyone know any good body shop in pasadena area?

Thanks

Accidents happen. Cars can be fixed and be/look "just like new". How bad is the damage? Without an estimate (and pictures for us), it is impossible to tell how bad it really is.

As for body shops, my personal experience is start with whatever body shop the local Honda/Acura dealer uses. Every day they "dent" new cars and they send them somewhere that can fix them so we never know when they sell them as "new".

Post some pictures so we can better feel your pain...

Try Marcos at San Gabriel. 626-309-9100. I had 5 cars rear-ended in the past 4 years and all repaired there.

Yes, go with Marco's Auto Body , but try the one in Pasadena or South Pasadena.

Marcos outsource some mechanical work to a nearby Acura dealer.
The San Gabriel Marcos outsources to Sierra Acura. My MDX had to come back five times to get the O2 sensor fixed there.

Thanks guys for all the info. I am kind of in shock. I even forgot to call to a police at the accident spot and now I am scared if the other guy will take advantage of that and send me a huge bill of medical check ups. I asked him if he is alright, to which he replied yes.

Let me put some picture back. Damn...I hate to look at my baby now. I am ashamed of myself of not taking proper care of it.

Sorry to hear about the accident. For a car that new, I say keep the car. I always hate the idea of driving that I know has been in a accident but it makes sense financially. My TL got hit two years ago and I had all these ideas in the head that I should trade it in because it's damaged good. Knock on wood but I have zero problem since and I am so glad that I did not take the big hit and trade it in for the new TL. I feel that the longer I keep the car, the less the repaired damage comes in play.

The bottom line is that it's only a car and accidents will happend. There are a lot more important things in life than a piece of metal. For instance, no one got seriously hurt. Just get a good body shop and fix it correctly. No short cut.

Thanks a lot. I do really need such advices. Is there anyway I can check my engine after it gets repaired just to make sure nothing has happened. I mean how shall I make sure that the engine is alright. Is there anyone available in pasadena area to check the car and let me know if the car is OK

Thanks

Yeah 5 times rear-ended. Lots of careless drivers although most of them were just bumper repairs.

Have your X towed to YOUR dealership. Tell them:
Check for engine/Tranny damage from collision and have them send it to the body shop they use for X's for the body damage. I hope you called your insurance company. I WOULD get a police report ASAP !
Post pictures so we can assess the damage ! VERY important that YOU have pictures !
ALWAYS CARRY A DISPOSIBLE CAMERA IN YOUR CARS !
