OK, so I hit the garage door button too fast, with my wife sitting right there. Caught the roof antenna and broke it. I can get a new one from dealer, and it appears that there is a hatch in the interior rear of roof lining. Does anyone have experience replacing this antenna, or removing this hatch,(if it is a hatch). I've looked at parts breakout, and see that two bolts attach the antenna to the roof. I don't want to pry on the inside until someone lets me know it is the right thing to do???????? Thanks for any installation help!

Sometimes a dealer will let you look at their service manual, which will tell you everything you need to know. If not, and you're the handy type, you can buy the Service and Electrical Troubleshooting Manuals from www.helminc.com . If you're not trying to get the antenna within a couple of days, you'll get it cheaper from Tim at www.hondacuraworld.com (free shipping, IIRC).

Thanks for your replies, however, most info I've found so far are earlier than 2005 and doesn't apply. Comforting that I'm not the only one, it's the first ding and it hurts the most. I've owned numerous Acuras, this MDX is way fun! Thanks for the welcome into this forum.
