Hondacuraworld.com Shipping issues? - Click HERE for Original Thread

I feel bad my first post is negative, but this board recommended I use Hondacuraworld. I'm really disappointed, I wanted to be tweaking my new X today. Here's the deal.

Last Saturday I placed two orders. One with handa-accessories and one with Hondacuraworld. On Monday, I get my confirmation and tracking emails from both dealers.

My order from Handa arrived yesterday. I never received my order from Hondacuraworld. The email from FedEx says the order was shipped 7/18 and will arrive on 7/21. It aint here.

Did I get ripped off or does Hondacura world have shipping problems? Anyone else have problems with them???

Backwoods,

Tim at hondacuralworld.com always makes good on his orders. Just be patient and I am sure your order will arrive soon.:4:
andreseng
My guess is that FedEx may be the culprit here. I can assure you I have always received my orders from them in perfect condition and on time. Have you re-checked the status of your package on FedEx's website? Did you try calling either FedEx or Tim? I would have tried that before posting this.:4: Whatever the reason for the delay, rest assured you will receive your order......
hammermdx
I agree with my fellow posters, Tim is the man, contact him on Monday and he will help you resolve this.....it could be FedEx.

They didn't happen to leave a door tag that you missed by chance ? It's possible they thought it required a signature so they didn't leave it. I don't think either shipment I've gotten from him needed a signature.

Not to be an echo but as someone who knows FedEx very well, this is definitely on them. Tim ships via FedEx Ground. Although rare, if a truck doesn't make it to a drop point on time, your shipment can be delayed. Note that the delivery date is an estimated date. Have you checked the tracking number since Monday ? You should be able to find out exactly where the package is.
JimH
Shipping delays/problems are the result of the shipping carrier and not the vendor selling the item. Once it is on its way. Hondacuraworld is not responsible for the FED-EX shipping problems. The few items I ordered from Tim have come on time, and Fed-Ex has been a good shipping carrier in my experience.
dipersp
I have to agree with everyone else. DON'T go by any emails from FedEx or Tim regarding when it will arrive. Use the tracking numbers and go to the FedEx website. After buying lots of stuff from Tim, my money is on FedEx.

Be sure to check all of your "sources" before pointing, though it never hurts to ask.
LabMeister
So far, I've only made one order of 2 items from Tim and these items were delivered on time.

My one order from Tim was kinda late, but it turned out to be on backorder. I eventually emailed when it was seeming to be over due, and he emailed back saying the item was just off back order and then it shipped promtly.

We've been in touch with FedEx and JR, my shipping manager, should be in touch with you by the end of the day, if he hasn't emailed you already.

I don't understand honestly how we could have ripped you off, when we did send it out in a timely fashion  . We do have to rely on FedEx to get the items to your door, which they generally do very efficiently.

I got your email first thing this morning and we're on the case.

Having dealt with Tim, I don't understand why Backwoods didn't contact Tim directly before posting the so-called negative feedback. I don't think there's anyone here that'll agree with that assertion.

Its also weird that the courier is not perceived to be the problem even though Fedex acknowledges the pickup of the item. Even Tim would have to contact Fedex to get an update, just like you should have.

Please don't jump to conclusions about Tim's service.

For those that care...

I called FedEx today. They said Hondacuraworld printed a shipping label but never tendered a delivery. They said I should contact the shipper and inquire about the status of my order.

"We've been in touch with FedEx and JR, my shipping manager, should be in touch with you by the end of the day, if he hasn't emailed you already."

Its 3 PM Buffalo time. I haven't heard from anyone at Hondacuraworld.

I didn't say I was ripped off. I questioned if I was or perhaps that your organization has shipping issues.

"I got your email first thing this morning and we're on the case."

You could have replied to my email to let me know that. Still, its 3PM Buffalo time. Haven't heard from anyone at Hondacuraworld.

Here is the bottom line. I paid you $600.00 for merchandise that has not been delivered. I don't care whose fault it was, it's not mine. If I were in your position, I would send the customer their merchandise while you and FedEx figure out what went wrong.

Sorry for all b*tching and moaning. I just want my parts or my money back.

If FedEx told you it shipped and it didn't, they would be at least partly to blame. But I guess I'm confused because there seems to be conflicting info.

Did you ever try looking up the tracking number ?
Backwoods
I've had a tracking number. Thats how I knew I was supposed to get my parts on 7/21. I just got a new tracking number from JR. Lets see if this works.

Q: Would you care for a little cheese with your whine?

Is everyone here big buds with Tim? To me it appears you guys are. No one has even brought up the fact that it is possible that he dropped the ball on my shipment and has done a poor job of communicating the status of my order since then.

For example, I just learned today that the second part of my order is on backorder and it won't be shipped until later this week.

Call this whining if you want, I'd just expected a minimal amount of customer service from an Acura dealer.

I don't think we are all buds but have ordered without problems for the most part. I've left room to consider HAW error in my above post. It's just hard to believe that somebody who does a fair amount of shipping would have packages that just don't make it on to the truck. I can't say I blame Tim for not sending out another $600 of stuff until the original stuff is found.

I will say that my experience with Tim has not been flawless but he was very quick and eager to fix it.

Maybe what people are trying to articulate is that some other avenues should have been explored and direct contact sought before resorting to a public forum and airing complaints or issues that could have been resolved in private without much fuss.

Read my original post, I asked if anyone else had shipping problems.

This board recommended Tim for parts. I think its only fair that everyone hear about the bad experiences as well as the good. If you don't believe in that, you have some serious issues with the truth. I would love to say that my order went smoothly and I got my parts no problem. I didn't so here I am "badmouthing Tim". I will say that for the most part it appears Tim does an excellent job with his internet orders. Unfortunatley, this doesn't diminish my experience with him.

I'm out, clones.

Nor his experience with you.

This thread reminds me of the infamous 'Competition for Tim ?' thread that was started by dj-mdx2.

That was an entertaining thread wasn't it? Not that I'm dredging up old wounds but I did start out with good intentions. All water under the bridge now. No love lost, etc. etc.

Believe me when I say that I'll always be the first one to admit when I'm wrong. To do otherwise would be plain stupid, because I make mistakes just like everyone else.

Check your answering machine, I was sitting in my chair as my shipping manager left a message on your machine.

We had sent the parrtial ship notification in with the FedEx ship notification the day after the order was placed. The armrest should have made it in yesterday, but is coming from Troy Oh, which should go out today.

Not true, because my FedEx driver is paid per item on his pickup. If the ship sheets do not reflect what he actually picked up, he gets in trouble for it. Upon calling the hub, it seems that the package wasn't scanned in when it reached the Buffalo hub, and from there God only knows. We placed a lost package claim (which FedEx will pay us for), and shipped your replacement package yesterday.

We did what we could, and in your eyes I have failed to provide adequate service. So then we have. Perceptions are indeed reality.

Just FYI, this is exactly what we did. Brian's email was sent to me at 7/25/2005 7:56:28 AM (yesterday). I honestly tried to be as proactive as possible and shipped out replacements immediately once I became aware of the problem:

*********
Tim,

Can you tell me the status of my order?

I received a tracking number from FedEx that said it was shipped on 7/18 and to expect delivery on 7/21. I never received it.

Thanks,
**********

I don't mean to drag this on, I just want everyone to try and understand that I did my best, even if it wasn't enough.

The only thing I don't understand is that this thread was started on 7/23, and nobody had contacted me until 7/25 to let me know there was any issue

I think everyone here understands that backwoods started whining before even attempting to find out any details.

The 23rd was a Saturday, so Backwoods likely waited till Monday (25th) to contact you thinking nobody would be at the dealership parts dept over the weekend.

Tim, maybe I speak for almost everyone here when I say we know where you stand. I'm just having fun with the approach Backwoods took and his "analysis". :2: But like he said we are all your buddies here and you must be bribing us ;)

Maybe this is his first internet order and doesn't know how frequently Fedex screws up. Apple uses Fedex and I order often from them....

This is why I was confused. So it looks to indeed be a FedEx screwup ? I must say this isn't nearly as cool as Dale B's lost package on the train, but at least there's an explanation. :)

Backwoods, you referenced your first post a couple of times and you did ask our opinion of whether or not you got "ripped off". I think there's another emphatic NO from us. Sorry if it seems like we're giving Tim a BJ.

When I ordered my trailer hitch a couple of weeks ago, I got the order confirmation but no tracking number. I waited almost a week to call. I was anxious but not nervous. Turns out a part of it was damaged and needed to be ordered from the supplier. Maybe I should have raised hell because they didn't contact me. But I had every confidence that there was a good reason for the delay. It was more than worth the $175+ I saved going through Tim.
