| Has anyone tried to remove/replace the interior moon roof sliding cover? Mine has a big scratch on it, an I would like to replace it. Not a functional problem, just an eyesore every time I glance up. I don't know if this would be a do-it-yourself or would require more. Any thoughts? |

I did some sunroof work on my C70 and it was sticky stuff. On that car, the glass has to come out to get the sunshade out and that is one gigantic pain in the you-know-what.
I ended up breaking one of the little arms on the side and it cost me $600 (!!!) to get an entire new rail on the right side installed at the dealer. (Picked it up this evening, actually, still kind of in shock...)
Last time I try to save money on something like that...
I don't know if that helps at all, since it isn't the X, but I would warn you to tread VERY carefully... I know it isn't something I'll ever try again!
Good luck in your endeavors...keep us posted! |
