They're cheaters!!!! Avoid!!!
We negotiated with Mr. Chang through email and phone about price and 0.9% financing (credit application was approved). Drove hours to NJ only to find out they have changed their mind. The business manager found price was too low. So she and another sales wanted to charge us an OUTRAGOUS 7.xx% financing!!
They are extremely rude as well.
We're reporting to the BBB and they will pay for their fraudulent practice!!

I used Montlcair Park Ave. They aren't terrible but not excellent either. My transmission is acting up so I went to get another transmission fluid change in the hope it would make the shifts smoother. Went to Montclair for the service. Got the car back and there was a big ding on the drivers door. They didn't fess up to the damage so I knew pointing out to them would be a pointless arguement so I just left. By the way the transmission is still shifting really hard so this extra tranny fluid change was a waste of money.

I think it's only fair to get someone elses opinion about the dealer. I have 3 different friends that have purchased vehicles from this dealer and all of them were very happy with the transaction.

By the way, my dealer is Bridgewater Acura and I use them because they are close to my home. I can tell everyone that this is an outstanding dealer and the service dept. is fantastic!

I am surprised that people will travel hours to buy a car. I think all of you should negotiate a bit harder with your local dealer. Saving a couple of hundred dollars isn't worth it to travel 5 hours to purchase a car. There's always an advantage to buy locally if you can.

MDXIOUS - I vividly remember your particular experience because I was personally involved with your deal. That being said, you have twisted the facts of your transaction quite a bit. Yes you were approved for the MDX special of 0.9% financing only because you misrepresented the truth on your credit application, on top of many other inconsistencies we later found while we were trying to get you the best deal possible after the original deal had fallen thru due to the before mentioned mishap. To make a long story short, we were more than willing to honor the mutual agreement we had come to over the phone and via emails before you had come in. We would not make anyone drive such a long distance if we knew that it was not possible for us to deliver what we had promised.

To all - We are a great dealership, and work very hard for our customers. I'm personally saddened that MDXIOUS has used a public forum to tarnish our good name and yet again attempt to use an utter misrepresentation of the facts for personal gain and satisfaction. We look forward to meeting all of you at our dealership to disprove everything that this individual has falsely claimed about our service and treatment of our valued customers.

So what Montclair Acura saying is that they didn`t run the credit report until AFTER the customer showed up? How could the credit rating have changed after the fact? If they took the application over the phone and everything the customer said about his credit was false, why not tell the person before having him drive for hours?

When application was taken over the phone, customer said all facts were acurate. When they came in, they had no proof of income, employment, etc...Proof of these facts were asked of customer to be brought in when they came in. They came in knowing that it was expected of them, but still drove here with no proof. It ended up that the financial info given was misrepresented and customer actually had no employment, addresses did not match, etc...

Again, we cannot know the validity of paperwork without proof. We go by what the customer says, and this customer was asked to bring in paperwork attesting to the validity of info given on credit application. They were not able to provide said paperwork, and were thus turned down after preliminary approval. Approval was based on proof of income and employment from financial institution administering the loan for the vehicle.

Again, we are a very reputable dealer. If there is anything that we need from a customer we are very up front about it. We do not take any joy in making a customer travel any length, a mile or 100's of miles, for no reason. Thank you, and I hope that this puts an end to this matter.

Who is twisting the facts?!!!
1. The credit application wasn't done by phone, but by FAX!
2. I was employed at the point of purchase although I just started. Never lie about facts, montclair!!!
3. We asked repeatedly if we need to bring anything in order to complete the transaction and was told that the only thing we needed to bring was the DL. I still have that email in case you suckers want to deny the facts AGAIN!.
4. We did offer to show you the employment/offer letter at the scene, did you remember?????
5. No credit application was run at the scene except I was told it was approved before we came.
6. We got the 0.9% financing approved the same day from your neighbor. That says it all!!
So now, you're saying you are a "reputable" dealer?? Liar!

In other words, you didn`t disclose the stipulations to the customer until AFTER he/she arrived?
