Found this at Radio Shack the other day. It's made for cell phones, but it also fits the iPod perfectly. The botton opening is perfect for the dock connection. I also got the black motorola razr this past weekend, which has an awesome speakerphone, so I will also use it for that. Not bad for $25.

Wish I could remember where I got mine, but it was quite a bit less than 25. Maybe Big Lots, etc.
Anyway, had to modify it. I have Panavise bracket and used to have a Nokia mount.
Now I have an Audiovox, but with a few small screws and nuts, it now works great.
Had to 'cut out' the left pad too, or it would change the volume of my phone every time I closed the vise. :) |

I actually just use a gel pad on the dashboard.

Pretty good for $5.
Careful with those gelpads lab, if you have it on the dash exposed to the sun the dash will fade. I was using one too until I read the package. |

I highly recommend the Panavise over dash adhesives, etc., it's solid, and will accept most any phone mount you can think of.
It's made for the MDX and can be installed in about 15 min. |
