| Can I switch my older Acura Back Plate to the newer 2004-2005 models?

Hi,
I would like to change my acura back plate to the newer 2004-2005 models. Is this possible? Is it a direct replacement fit?
If so, does Tim sell these?

The step-by-step guide is for a 04 satin to chrom conversion but using a 04/05 on a 01 should work too?

I found one on eBay and switched it out on my 2002. Definetely a better look. It wasn't too diffictult at all.
The directions linked above are just fine for older models. EDIT- yours in a 2001, but they're ok for 2002, I can't imagine that it would be that much different.

I just ordered my new 04/05 chrome garnish on ebay! I have chrome side steps so this will make it all look sweet :)

I had wanted to swap my '04 satin front grille for an older chrome one but after discussing it with Tim at Hondacuraworld.com, I decided it's more trouble than it's worth.
Besides the cost, Tim said that you would have to remove the front bumper in order to take the grille assembly out. If anyone does decide to do this, please take pics and share your findings. |
