| Well, this just plain sucks! I was driving on the freeway and a rock hit the front windshield. The crack has spread and is about 6-7 in long. I doubt they could repair this. Any tips on getting a new winshield? Would the Acura dealer be the best place to go for the best fit? I will insist on a genuine Acura windshield. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. |

| Btw, I live near Monterey, CA. I suppose I will call State Farm and see what they say. |

| Lots of threads on this if you do a search. A recent one includes the hotly debated OE versus OEM issue. Your insurance may cover it. |

General rule of thumb:
If you can't cover it with a dollar bill or if it is in your line of sight, you will end up replacing as opposed to repairing.
You need to find out if you have glass coverage. It depends on your policy. If you do, your deductible may be reduced or waived. Call your insurance company.
Good luck.... |
