Hello,
I have a 2001 nag touring mdx with a single cd player. My question is that if I install a 2004, 2005 mp3 cd player in my 2001 mdx, will it work? Thank.
If not, how can I do a modify for it? Thank a lot. |

| Not sure if I understand your question. Are you suggesting that you replace your cd player with a newer model cd player? As far as I know, the 2005 cd changers in the MDX do not play mp3s. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.... |

Correct. The head unit in an '04 or '05 will not play MP3s directly. |

I am having an Alpine CHA-S634 installed in my 2002 X today. The 634 does play MP3's. You need a couple of things to make it work.
First you need the Blitzsafe HON/ALP DMX V.1 adapter that connects to the headunit.
You will also need the KCA-130B AI-Net to M-Bus Adapter as well. This connects the Bitzsafe adapter to the Alpine Changer.
I had this changer in my '99 TL with the same setup, and am now moving it to my '02 X. Hope this helps. |
