I have the Black RAZR V3 from Cingular and I really like the phone. Cingulars price with a 2 yr contract is $199. Free from Amazon.com is due to their $150 rebate on their $149.99 price (price for new service plan). As near as I could tell the fine print on the rebate form says a 1 yr contract and New Voice Service Activation required.
I take that to mean new Cingular customers. Don't know how this would work for existing customers??
I suspect the deal is not available to existing customers. But if new customers only have to sign a 1 yr contract for a free V3, then it seems to be a good deal. |

Just bought a RAZR V3 last week on a 1 yr contract for $39.99 month. The phone is free after rebate but the rebate can't be collected until after 6 months.
It includes 600 anytime minutes free nights and weekends. Got it from wirefly.com Make sure upon checkout to uncheck the overnight shipping tab to get free shipping as well. |

Although rebate says 1 year there is a pre-checked radio button that says 2 year contract at the checkout (and the description says it's free :)). You cannot uncheck this.
And for the new or current customer:
it only applies to people with no contract. meaning there contract expired even if you are cingular customer, i imagine. You can also call customer reps and tell the amazon story and ask them for free V3 phone. This worked for me last time with AT&T. saved activation fee and even got $50 credit :) (however note that it wasnt V3) |

| Just got the phone 2 weeks ago and like it except searching the phone book only jump to the first letter. Eventually went to http://motomodders.net/Default.aspx...&g=posts&t=2731 and flash the phone to allow multiple letter search and extra memory space (I now have 7.2MB total memory). |
