| Received a Hidden Hitch from etrailer.com but there is a small area (.5x1.5 in) where the paint is scraped off. I called them & they sent a can of black spray paint but I'm wondering if this is OK, or will this lead to rusting of the hitch? |

Depends upon how good a job you do of using the paint can that they sent.

Same thing happened to my hitch when I got it from them a few years ago.....I touched it up with the paint they sent me, and after 3 years, no sign of rust. |

Is there more to it than just spraying over that area? |

| I accidentally scraped my Acura hitch assembly when I put it on. Tim said to use Rustoleum. I asked if he thought I HAD to do it - he said no. I probably will do it. |

Just make sure the area is clean and dry. |

| I refused to buy a hitch that was not shipped boxed; finally ended up with etrailer.com and not one scratch. However, I did manage to scrape it installing it too... :) |
