I've been offered the following price for a '05 MDX Touring in the Bay Area. Has anyone done better?

Car AND Destination Fee together: $34,300
Accessories: at acura.com listed prices
Sales Tax:
DMV Fee: $298
Documentation Fee: $45
Ca. Tire Fee: $8.75

Thanks!

I am new to this forum, not (yet) an MDX owner. That price does sound good. Where was it from?

We bought my wife's '05 for $35,405 and the dealer gave us the cargo liner, wheel locks and tinted the front windows for free. We didn't pay the other fees that you listed (they weren't listed in the final invoice). Even with the extra fees, you're still approximately $400.00 ahead against what we paid. IMO, it's a good deal.

That is a great price. I got my mdx touring for about $300 less than that. But it still is a great price. The fees are about the same. I am in san Diego. I would go for it.

The final number will depend on what accessories you plan on getting. If you can get them for what hondacuraworld.com sells them for, then you would have a great deal! Good luck!

I just got an offer for a Touring model for 34,200 + 570 dest fee. Includes cargo liner, floor mats, and wheel locks. A bit higher than "buyingmdx". Is that still a good price?

Almost done negotiating.

I received the car at

$34,233 (including destination)

and accessories at cost.

Anyone do better? I think i am actually satisfied...

I'd give myself a pat on the back if I were you! Sounds like you got yourself a very good deal.

As for me, I took the 34,200 + 570 dest, including "protection package" (floor mats, cargo tray, and wheel locks). Sounds like you fared better, but I am still happy with my price.

When you say you got accessories at cost, does that mean at hondaacuraworld.com prices? My dealer actually wanted more than acura.com prices! They claimed at the acura.com prices do not include labor, but offered their actual "cost" which was higher than acura.com. Naturally, I balked and declined any accessories for now. Can always add them later. Just happy have the car at a good price.

OK, bought my MDX Touring for the following:

Invoice + Destination Fee: $34,202
Cargo Cover: $142

Tax (SF-8.5%): $2923.07
DMV: $286
Documentation: $45
Ca. Tire Fee: $8.75

$37606.82 out the door.

I went with financing through them too at 4.9% for 60 months.

No trade in.

Good luck and thanks for all the help everyone. Your advice certainly saved me money.

Stevens Creek, although i think you can negotiate Marin, or Serramonte to the same. if not better!

i basically had mdx touring, sidesteps and cargo cover and destination fee at $35k even. they wouldnt install the steps that day so i had them remove it and thats how i got to my weird final price.
