Anyone ever take the Disney Cruise? Any thoughts? Experiences? Likes? Dislikes? Thanks.

My sister and her family loved it, but then again they have a toddler. Looks fun based on the brochure.

We did it in 2000 and have booked another for this February. We loved it. Of course we do not have anything to compare it to since we have not been on another cruise line. From what I've heard, the food is the weakest part of the whole thing.

We usually do the land and sea package. What's kind of neat is that the key for your hotel room is the same as the key for your cabin on the ship!

A lot of things for the kids to enjoy and the private island is really nice. We thought the service was very good and boarding and departure is very easy.

I went on the Disney Cruise for our honeymoon 7 years ago, their inaugural year. We were on their 3rd official sailing. The wife and I had a great time. Food service is different then other cruise lines. There's no midnight buffet, but overall I thought the food quality was great, and was better then that of Carnival cruise lines.

If you have kids, this is the cruise line to go on. If your kids have their way, then you will never see them, and never really need to. While we didn't have kids at the time, we met families who's kids couldn't wait to go and join their peers on the ship. It was like a mini camp for them. Your kids will never be bored on the ship. Neither will you. The staff are great. The ship is beautiful.

The Disney cruise was my first cruise ever. I've since been on Carnival and Princess cruises and Disney is still the best one in my humble opinion.

We are actually planning on cruising on Disney again in 3 years. Yep, the 10th anniversary. I can't wait.

I'll be glad to answer any questions you might have about the cruise. I really had a good time, and would recommend it to just about anyone, families especially.

Took cruise with wife and seven year old daughter at the time a couple years ago. If you are a Disney fan then you will have a great time. Other cruise lines have bigger flashier ships but do not have the Disney feeling. Service, cleanliness, food and atmosphere are excellent.

thanks...so when is a good time to take the Disney Cruise or go to Florida (disney world)? I have 2 year old and don't want it to be too humid or rainy.

You DO NOT want to go there in the summer months. Late November or February are probably the most comfortable in terms of weather.

Early February is still "low" season so you can get some good rates. We went in early December in 2000 and it wasn't exactly warm (in the low 70's in the Bahamas). But the boat was not too crowded.
