I just discovered that Crutchfield has this kit available that you can install to control aftermarket headunit with stock steering wheel column. It called PAC SWI-X, Steering Wheel Audio Control Adapters.

| Well guess what I found the answer to my own problem. After reading through the installation guide, I noticed that my headunit support steering wheel control input on its own. Sweet.... |
