first i would like to thank Komondor for advising me the outlet who sells astro shield internationally.
i dunno if its better than zaino but its a lot easier to apply...
here were the steps i took:
1. wash the car,-- in order to take off loose greases and drits

2. use paint cleaner/wax remover to remove exsist old wax just like you do before you polish the car.

3. apply astro shield for its first coat, apply to all sections and when the time you finish your last panel, its about time you can start to use clean terry towel to wipe the panels. IT WAS GOD DAMN HARD TO BUFF THIS THING GOOD WITH DRY TERRY TOWEL, however i figured out later on that using wet 3M towel will save you a lot of time and energy.

4. wait for least 4 hours before apply second coat. same process as applying first coat.

5. The result? WHAT A BEAUTY. it really worth it!

It's beautiful, jamchen. But in the final analysis, based on your own description it sounds like at least as much effort as Zaino, possibly as shiny, but how long it will last will be the true test.
The biggest advantage is it's only one compound that's applied and removed.

i had the same question as you as i first started considering using Astro Shield. however after reading lots of treads over another car enthusist website, www.hondafun.com ... i decided to give it a go.

and i am quite happy with the result :D

the astro shield website said it lasts around 6 months depending on weather and other factors. however i might be expecting about 4 months before go through the same procedure...

If you keep it clean, and not strip the finish, the next coat may go down easier. But then is that a no no? Do you have to start with base finish again?
If so, then yeah..samo samo...I don't think Zaino is good for much more than 6 months if you only apply a couple of coats. But then subsequent coats are easy to apply.
