So far so good. I'm a big fan of DEI alarm systems as my last two were Cliffords (still have the alarm/remote start in my '02 TL-S), and I would have got another Clifford but the Tweeter that I go to says they don't carry them anymore--only replacement parts. It's sooo much more comprehensive than the factory alarm and the remote start here in New England is a must-have (I'll never own another vehicle without one).
The only thing that drives me nuts is that Tweeter doesn't give the owner the installation guide for the alarm. Their theory is if you don't know what you are doing, you can **** up the system and then they have to take the time (and $$$$) to fix it again. But I *do* know what I'm doing and there are a lot of options you can change in the programming mode. So after a little snooping online I found a PDF version of the manual and now I'm all set. Changed a few things to my liking and so far I'm very impressed with this system. In Tweeter's defense, they said I could bring it back any time to get the options changed, but that's just wasting my time when I could (and did) do it myself in my garage.
I highly recommend this system for anyone looking for a thorough (but not overboard) alarm and remote start system. |
