I'm looking to buy a 2005 MDX in the Washington, DC area. I'm somewhat flexible on timing, but the deals seem pretty good these days. I'm assuming with a bit of haggling I could probably get invoice less $1500. Are there better deals out there (and any in this area)? (Looking for touring with NAV.) Other things I should try to get thrown in? Do folks think prices should come down even further, and ifso when? Thanks in advance.

I'll just keep talking to myself . . . also interested in hearing about accessories that folks like and were able to convice their dealer to throw in. Thanks

See my thread above. We bought at Pohanka in Chantilly, VA.
For the Touring NAV, your looking at $37,330 after the $1500 incentive and adding in $570 destination charge. See my accessories in my signature.:D |

Do a search on 'Karen Radley' and you can find my post on how I did my homework and got a good price.

Try contacting internet managers at those dealers around washington. I got a better deal (no dastination charge, no document fees) than from a normal sales person. But it was 3 years ago, so paid msrp for mine.

Hi everyone. I was looking for '05 MDX and found this forum last couple of weeks. Thanks for all the useful info. I just bought mine yesterday in DC area, basic model in silver with chrome side steps and roof rack for 34,400. Love it!

I believe the $1500 incentive is over but they may reinstate it depending on inventory. I purchased mine end of September and paid $800 under invoice for a touring/nav but I did not have time to shop around. I did, however, get a .017 money factor on the lease which helped and was a bit of a dealer concession. I know you could get $1500 under (according to other folks here) before the incentive expired but I don't know about now. My advice is to call dealers if you know what you want, tell them you are ready to buy, tell them the price you will pay and see if they take it. The dealers in D.C. are good so try that front. As for what other incentives will be added soon who knows (unless you work for Honda). I note that the 4 runner was $1750 cash back before October 3 and now its $3000 cash back so you can never tell. I think the MDX is more desirable (because the incentive on the 4 runner is only on the V8). Anyway, good luck.
