I'm not a big fan of the current style '05 Touring rim. That said, I'm contemplating upgrading the rims on my '05 to either A) chrome plating the current rim or B) Aftermarket 18" rims/tires. Cost is a consideration, in that I don't want to drop over $2,000 for the upgrade. Warranty is also a consideration, which is why I've ruled out going up to 19 or 20". What do you folks think ???

I'd take a look at ron jon wheels. They are specifically made for Acura/Honda vehicles.

I hear ya. I actually like the solid look of the 03(?) Base wheel, if it can be chromed. 18" may not make much of a statement. Of course, beauty is in the eye of the walletholder.

Phins2rt - thanks for the link ! I like the fact that these were designed by Acura/Honda owners and are made specifically for this app. The Inspyre looks promising . . . and price is right.

DJ - I like the Base wheels, but they are heavier than the Touring, that's what makes this so difficult - I don't want to add more unsprung weight, so I need the same weight or lighter than OEM setup. The Touring rim/CT tire only weighs 54 lbs whereas the Base rim/GY tires weigh 56 lbs . . . (Touring rim is 22 lbs and the Base rim is 26). Therefore 19s & 20s are just too heavy or too expensive to get in at 54lbs . . .
