I'm jazzed!

Closed a deal on a '05 Sagebrush Pearl/Ebony. Should pick up the car middle of the week. It's a touring w/Navi model. Going to add an aftermarket DVD unit right away, install a clear bra kit and maybe an acessory or two before taking on a road trip.

Made a practice run of installing a clear bra on the wife's Murano today. What a PITA! All those curves are a nightmare for installing that film. Now I can see why many opt to pay somone else to do it.

You're a brave soul for self-installing the clear bra. Either that or you have a very forgiving wife :D

Welcome aboard!:welcome:

Thanks.

I had done a large 3 piece decal on a truck I have a couple of years ago, so it wasn't my first time. The process is the same, save for using a different solution for setting.

I still may think about having someone else do the bumper. I said 2 hours, but I'll bet it was closer to 3. The complex curves right where the bumper ends were the toughest part and I really struggled to avoid creases.

The wife has only had the Murano 2 weeks and it was already showing some small paint nicks. That's why I'm doing the X right away.

Welcome to the club. You are going to love the X. It took me about 2 hours to do the hood, fenders, and sidemirrors for the clearbra. Foget about the bumper. It's way too difficult. Have a professional install it.

On EBAY, there is one seller that sells the clear bra kit. Is this the one everyone gets it from. What is the best clear bra kit to kit and where to get the best price. ON ebay it is 9.99 + 12.99 for shipping.

I took a chance and bought one of those. It includes the bumper and mirrors only. The material is not 3M. It's something else and less pliable than the 3M product.

I decided against tackling the bumper. Too many complex curves. Going to have a local shop do that one for me.

Oddly enough the local shop told me the kit they sell is hood and fendors only and that a bumper template was not available. Not sure yet what the local guys use for material supplier, but I was figuring I'd mesh the two kits.
