I haven't been posting for awhile but still checking the forum here and there. I just purchased and installed the hitch last night. The manufacturer is Curt Incorporated and I bought it from etrailer. I think this is the best "hidden" hitch from all the posted pictures I've seen. Customer service from Curt is excellent. I called etrailer and asked them what's the hitch that will fit my 03 with FSS tire. They told me the Curt P/N 13328, but there were no available pictures like the other ones on their website. I google Curt and found their website curtmfg.com and contacted by phone, spoke to a very nice customer service and she sent me 3 pictures (attached) of the 03 mdx with the hitch mounted. I am very impressed with the pictures so I ordered 1 from etrailer and received it in 2 days in a very nice undamaged box. The hitch is very solid built, using rectangular channel and it fits perfectly. I installed it last night by myself and it took around 45 minutes. I'm a small guy 5'-5", 130lbs. Here are the steps I did.
- Remove the towing bracket.
- Spray WD40 on the unused welded nuts on the passenger side and use the removed M12 bolt from the towing bracket to re-threat the rusted bolts. You want to go back and fort only 1/2 turn at a time.
- Unhook the rubber hanger from the muffler (the upper hole).
- Lower the spare tire and keep it there, on the floor.
- Position the hitch on the spare tire.
- Lift and slide the hitch in from the passenger side first, let it rest on the exhaust tail pipe.
- Go to the driver side and mount the 3 bolts, don't tight them yet.
- Go to the passenger side and mount the other 3 bolts.
- Screw in all 6 bolts to lift the hitch as high as you can but don't tight them yet, make sure the washer are still loose.
- Now mount the 2 M10 bolts for the center. You can use jack position in the center of the hitch to lift it up while tighten these 2 bolts.
- You now can tighten all the 6 M12 bolts.

Tools needed are 17 & 19 sockets with 6" extension.

BTW, the code "acuramdx.org" still works for 10% off at etrailer.com

Damn, nobody told me about an org discount ! I bought a Valley hitch from eTrailer about a month ago. Could've saved $15 - that's about 4 1/2 gals of gas . . . :3: :3: :3:
