| Well I promised my instructions in Warzau's (excellent) thread, here they are... |
| aarijk |
| wait 3 mins, remove lower panel from steering and unhook the airbag/horn. |
| aarijk |
| Unscrew the Torx screws that hold the airbag. |
| aarijk |
| Careful not to have the airbag blow up in your face :D |
| aarijk |
| Behind the airbag! |
| aarijk |
| This took a while to unscrew.. I ended up using the hex from the change-the-wheel-jack-set!! |

This again took effort. However, if you impact it side to side and then up to down a few times, it will come off without the need of a steering wheel puller.
This is what it looks like pulled off. |

| First two screws that will come off are these.. to remove the "rubber thing" that the horn rests on. |
| aarijk |
| These four screws will release the rear trim of the steering wheel. Also the small white plastic piece that holds the airbag/horn connectors from the first step. |

This is what it looks like. Notice the audio/cruise controls
are still on. These will come off in the next step. |

| Interestingly in the 2002, the screws are put in from the 'behind' instead of the front (from 2003). Remove these and you're ready to move all the controls to the wooden steering. |

Put everything on the wooden steering wheel in the reverse order.
I've skimped on the details but just go in reverse order, you'll be fine :) |
| aarijk |
| Be careful not to move the cable reel. I actually used some scotch tape to hold it in place. |
| aarijk |
| Here is another pic of the new wheel with controls |

Line up the notch with the little dot. I found out you will have to end up getting
an alignment. The wheel will be slightly off center. Seems there is no way around
this, and even the dealerships have to do this for any steering wheels they replace!
I had planned on getting my rims changed right after I changed the steering, worked out well.. :) |

Refit the airbag. You might have to loosen the sides of the controls to ease the airbag in. Secure the airbag with the new torx screws supplied.
Connect airbag/horn connectors and close up all the plastic panels. |

| Warzau |
| Deja vue, especially the cable reel picture  |
