My MDX logo was about to fall off, so I took it off. Anyone know if I can buy the pre-cut double-sided tape that is shaped like the "MDX" emblem on the back? I started to cut some 3M exterior tape, but it's really tedious. I think I'd rather just order up some pre-cut if possible. Thanks.

short of getting a new one I would venture a guess as no.

Leave it off. It looks better "Debadged" IMHO!

Yes, leave the MDX logo off. It will be easier to clean and it will give the tailgate a cleaner look.:4:

havasublue,
Did you notice if the paint under the logo was darker than the rest of your paint? I am thinking about debadging my 03 but wasn't sure if the paint would be faded on the rest of the car or not. I know there are probably a lot of factors at work here with regards to paint fading but was curious if you noticed anything like this. Thanks.

i haven't gotten around to removing the old tape yet... but sometime this weekend i'll take it off, then i'll post a pic and inform you if there is any fading.
maybe i'll just leave the mdx off for a while, it does look good in your pic excalibur.

I also agree that the X looks better without that emblem.

Unless its an older X that has been through a lot of automatic washes, there should not be significant fading. If the paint is slighty darker underneath the badge, a little bit of polishing and "elbow-grease" around that area should even out the paint finish. Just buy some decent polish (not wax or a combination product) and a foam or terry applicator. After polishing to a satisfactory finish, apply a coat of wax to protect.

Morph,

Nice shine on your MDX.:29:

here's the pic of the MDX with the emblem off. there's really a faint difference in the color. in the photo, it looks like the mdx is darker, but in real life, the MDX is a little lighter than the surrounding paint. i think it might be layers of wax, dirt, etc. i did a little bit of cleaning, de-gooing etc, but not too much.
