I wanted to get some feedback from the folks out there in a similar situation as myself.
I have a young child who uses a car seat and a 40lb dog. I know we need to put something down on the second row seats so the leather does not get marked up from either the car seat and or the dog.
My question is, do you think a regular seat cover will be enough, or do you recommend going with a heavier cover?
What have some of you done out there, and how are the results thus far?
Any reply is greatly appreciated, thank you. |

I just did a search on "Seat Covers" and the following results were returned. Take a look at the previously discussed topics from the 5 pages of threads: http://acuramdx.org/forums/search.p...tby=&sortorder= |

If you look at that link you will see 99% of it has nothing to do with 'seat covers' but with seats or covers... thanks for trying to help, I await other replies  |

But there are a bunch that do cover seat covers and car seat protection. You can also try searching with other keywords too. |

So if I understand correctly, you are putting both your child and the dog in the second row?
I personally have had good experience with the Prince Lionheart heavy duty seat protectors. They're pretty sturdy, have a lip to catch most of the debris, and most of all, are tall enough and wide enough for most booster/child seats. And they come in black and tan.
I would not, however, put the dog in the second row for safety reasons. I have a separator net and rear cargo mat for my 50 lb dog and he's happy enough there. I would regret it terribly and without end should I ever get in an accident and have a worthless dog's flying body cause injury to my kids. OK, off my soapbox. |

Thanks for the reply, do you know the best place to get the seat protectors you are talking about.
As fas as our dog in the second row, she has hey own doggie seat belt that works wonders (can get them at any pet store). In fact, she is more comfortable and protected there then she is in the back. |

I'm embarassed to admit I got 2 seat savers from ebay (I'm a certified ebay-holic) for $30 shipped. They're usually $19.99 at a baby store like baby depot or babies r us. Amazon used to carry them thru toys r us but they're not currently available.
Any number of online stores will ship them to you, frequently for free if you go over a certain price. One example
Baby Universe is another good site. I got my booster seats from them with free shipping.
If you get the Prince Lionhearts, try to see if you can get the newer versions where the velcro is easier to attach; it's a 2-stage saver where you can use just the bottom part or both bottom and back parts.
Good luck! |

| they sell some pretty good, thick seat covers at walmart in the baby section, in a greenish-blue box. that are manufactured by munchkin but the box says something different, take a close look at them. they are really thick, really stops the leather seat from getting wrinked and warped, and they stay in place with a thick anchor padding that tucks between the seat. they only downside is that the back isn't very high and it won't protect your headrests. i'm using it and i am really satisfied. also has little pockets that hang below the seats to hold toys etc. they are kind of a thick rubber with padding in them to protect the seat, with a vinyl type surface on the other side that touches the seat. they are black. |
