Recently a friend sent me a tuner card, a Leadtek Winfast TV 2000 XP, and while I was able to locate the drivers on the net, and install it, what program can I use to actually use the card?

It didn't come with software, and not being familiar with them, I thought I'd turn to my MDX friends for advice :)

Did you find this site? It has the drivers, instructions, and application software (PVR).

Leadtek Winfast PVR Application Link

Winfast PVR Manual Link

Ahhhhh, so that's it......I've never seen something split into driver and applications software before :)

Oddly enough, their driver didn't work, I had to go to download.com to access the driver.

Thanks!

No problem. I added the link to the manual to my original post. It is in a different location. It is not clear whether it is included in the application software download. Hopefully the application software works.........:D .

Also check out meedio.com for an HTPC/PVR application. Their Meedio TV app handles the PVR piece. I have the free Medio Express on my daughter's PC and it's really slick. She views photo slideshows, local weather forecasts and watches divx/xvid/avi videoa on our home network.

You may want to give www.dscaler.com a try. I have very good success with this software for HTPC.

Thanks Van. I actually have that and a bunch of other apps on my dedicated HTPC. My daughter's PC is mostly for browsing nickjr.com and playing edutainment titles like Freddy Fish and Kid Pix Studio.
