Everytime these new toys come out (ie. PSP), I swear to myself not to get one. But guess what always happens?
Anyway, I want to limit myself this time to either the PS3 or Xbox 360.
Any suggestions? |

| Def wait for the PS3 as it will use Blu Ray DVDs (XBOX 360 uses the same DVDs as the current XBOX) so it can also double as a HD Blu Ray DVD player. |

Nintendo Revolution. Beefiest processor doesn't mean squat. The gaming experience is what counts the most and both Playstation and XBox don't have that. Just looking at Revolution's new controller will tell you how innovative and enjoyable Nintendo will be.
You can find some interesting stuff about the console wars here . |

| Got XBOX now and plan to upgrade to either the 360 or PS3. But I must admit I'm really interested in the HD capability of PS3 as cycler15 has said. Video quality-wise, simulation games will be jaw-dropping. Guess I'd have to wait until PS3 comes out to make a realistic comparison. |

The only problem with NIntendo and all of their consoles is that their games cater to kids. They are definitely lacking in games catering to the 20 years and up crowd. That's why the GameCube was such a big bust. The PS2 and XBOX realized that the average gamer today is around 25-30 years old, not kids and teenagers, and they made the right games for their core target market. Nintendo has a serious image problem when it comes to hard core gamers and they definitely need some show stoping launch titles to overcome that image problem. |

You're right. That's why even I never got the GameCube and just built myself a gaming pc much more powerful than either XBox or PS2. |

I have Xbox now and I'm currently addicted to Farcry. I heard that 360 will not be backwards compatible. Any truth to this? If so, big mistake.
I'm going to wait and see this time instead of rushing out and buying. |
