| I just got similar thing for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. Mine is from La Crosse Technology. Nothing expensive or fancy but it does have an atomic clock, calendar, indoor/outdoor temp and humidity. So far the outdoor signal has been just fine to the indoor unit. I'm not really sure what signal it uses. |

| All three of mine don't have anywhere near te range they claim. Our wireless rain gauge will lose signal if beyond about 15 feet. Range may be your problem. |

I have a similar one, SkyScan, got it at Costco a few years ago.
When it starts to loose the signal from the outside transmitter (it's intermittent at first) then it's time to change the batteries. |

I have the same unit. Just changed the batteries for the first time after 2 years. I have mine under the eves of a storage building about 60 ft. from the base unit. Always registered until it needed batteries.
